Discover Kaas Pathar
Kaas Plateau, popularly called Kaas Pathar, is a lateritic tableland in the Western Ghats near Satara. After the monsoon it transforms into a living meadow of wildflowers, attracting travellers, photographers and nature lovers from across India.
The plateau is part of the UNESCO Western Ghats World Heritage landscape and is known for its herbaceous flora, seasonal wetlands and open sky views.

From balsam and smithia to senecio and rare ground orchids, the bloom typically peaks between late August and early October, depending on rainfall.
